Meaning Of The Jelly Colored Bracelet Turquoise

La saggezza degli Indiani d’America

Who around me knows my passion for American Indians. I love the simplicity, courage, honesty that distinguishes them. I love the way they live in contact with nature, with full respect for human beings, of mother earth (animals, plants, rocks) and of all creation visible and invisible. A world based on the important values of the ancient wisdom that was handed down by elders of the group to their children and grandchildren, following the magic thread of folk traditions and culture of the place. A quiet life so different from our western world fast, marketed and superficial. My

not meant as a swipe at our modern reality, but only a fraction reflection in favor of a culture that the settlers have destroyed in every possible way. * After the genocide of Native Americans there has been much controversy, but I think that judging the past is good for nothing, if not reopen old wounds that have not yet healed. For this reason I will not speak of the current situation which sees them involved, because the mere thought that it was deliberately removed their passage on earth, upsets me.

On them we would have to write long and wide, but in this small piece of my website I will write some short song about the way they deal with life, words that have touched the strings of my soul. Reading these stories you can feel a bit ' their virtues, but the principles enshrined in them are universal, you just hear them in your heart. How can one not be fascinated?! Princess

Genocide * = The term has been defined by the UN as " acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group." The intentional submission of a group conditions of life that lead to the disappearance of both physical and cultural, in whole or in part, is usually included under the definition of genocide. The term came into common use and has begun to be regarded as a specific crime, which is reflected in international law and domestic law of many countries. Genocide is one of the worst crimes that man can commit because it involves the death of thousands, sometimes millions, of people, and the huge loss of cultural heritage. It is therefore a crime against humanity as defined by case law.

From the book:
"The Great Spirit speaks to our hearts" - Ed

Red Bud man
"Born of man on earth is a sacred task. We have a sacred responsibility, due to this exceptional gift that has been done, well above the wonderful gift that is the plant life, fish, forests, birds, and all living creatures on earth. We are able to take care of them. "
Audrey Shenandoah, Onondaga

Our need for love
"My friends, how desperately we need to be loved and to love. When Christ said that man does not live by bread alone, spoke of a hunger. This hunger was not that of the body. It was not the hunger for bread. He spoke of a hunger that begins deep within our being. He spoke of a need must like the air we breathe, spoke of the need for love. Love is something you and I must have. We need it because our spirit is nourished by it. We must have it because without it we lose our strength and weaken us. Without love our self-esteem is not. Without it our courage fails. Without love we deal with the security world. We turned in on ourselves and begin to find food in our own personality. And so, little by little we destroy. Through it we are creative. Through it tirelessly proceed. Thanks to it, and only thanks to it, we are able to sacrifice for others. "
Chief Dan George

Older Dakota
" The elders were wise Dakota. They knew that the heart of every human being that moves away from nature is worse. They knew that the lack of reverence for living things and everything that grows, quickly leads to a lack of respect for men. For this reason the contact with nature, which makes young people capable of deep feeling, was an important part of their training. "
Luther Standing Bear, Standing Bear

Education for silence
"You teach a child to sit and take taste properties. We taught them how to develop your sense of smell, to look where, apparently, there was nothing to see, and listen carefully to where it all seemed calm. A child who can not sit without moving a child is developed in half. We reject exaggerated and exhibitionist behavior because of him as false. A man who spoke without pause was considered rude and distracted. A speech was never started rushing nor carried out hastily. Nobody asked a question in a rash if it was very important. No one was forced to respond. The way courteous to begin a speech was to devote a moment of silence to reflect together. Even during the speeches we made sure every pause, in which the other person thinking. For Dakota, the silence was eloquent. In the accident, as in sorrow, in the turbulent times of illness and death, the silence was proof of esteem and respect. It was so when we have something great and worthy of admiration. "
Luther Standing Bear, Standing Bear

Wisdom
" Today people seek knowledge, not wisdom.
Knowledge is tied to the past, wisdom belongs to the future. "
Vernon Cooper, Lumbee

Four roads

"There are four roads that can take you wherever you go. The first takes you where you send your first thought. It is not the right way. Think a little. Then the second Face. Think again but do not choose yet. Finally, the fourth reflection you'll be on the right track. So do not be risking anything. Sometimes, it conducts a day before you solve your problem. "
Diablo, the White Mountain Apache

Man
"Man sometimes believed to have been created to dominate, to direct. But you are wrong. He is only part altogether. Its function is not to exploit, but is to monitor, to be an administrator. The man has neither power nor privilege. He has sole responsibility. "
Oren Lyons, Onondaga

Why
" Until now, I never asked my grandmother and my grandfather, or anyone else, "why?". This would have meant that I had not learned anything, that I was an idiot. But in Western society, if you do not ask "why", think you're stupid. So having been brought up not to ask the why of things but to listen, to acquire knowledge, mi sembra scontato che le persone abbiano qualche conoscenza di se stesse e anche di me stesso. Questa è una convinzione radicata. Inoltre, quando conosciamo noi stessi, possiamo unire i nostri pensieri e condividere questa conoscenza."

Audrey Hepburn: un mito intramontabile!

Here it is in all its beauty! And 'her, only she, who more than her? Undisputed symbol of rare elegance, gentleness and nobility of spirit, Audrey Hepburn is for me an ideal of incomparable woman! So chic in her graceful posture and movements fine delicate, so simple and affectionate in his manner, has left so deep a mark of its passage to become timeless icon.

In sharp contrast with the current inclination to see prevail a certain vulgarity widespread use of female images, I am voting for the old glories of the past! And you? Can not find that Hepburn has an edge over those who, while to emerge in the entertainment world, do anything?!?

I find simply divine! :-)

The real beauty of Audrey Hepburn

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness."

"For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people."

"For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry."

"For beautiful hair, let a child run through them with their fingers once a day. "

" Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find at the end of each of your arms. "

" When you grow older, you discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others. "

" The beauty of a woman increases over the years. "

" The beauty of a woman is not aesthetics, but the real beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. And 'the caring love, the passion that she shows. "

books on the topic:

Donald Spoto - Audrey Hepburn - Ed Frassinelli
"In the collective will always be the rebellious Princess Anne of Roman Holiday, frivolous Holly Golightly of Breakfast at Tiffany's, the funny Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. For millions of women around the world will remain a model of elegance and style icon. But in fact, Hepburn was simply only 'Audrey'. And this is how it is presented in this biography: the little girl during the Nazi occupation of Holland, where he spent his childhood dream of dancing on the tips, the troubled teenager who took his first, uncertain passi sui palcoscenici del West End di Londra; la giovane donna, approdata quasi per caso su un set e diventata nell'arco di pochi mesi una star internazionale, il simbolo di un fascino discreto e tutto nuovo per l'epoca, che non smetteva mai di ripetere con stupore disarmante: - La mia carriera è per me un mistero assoluto - Audrey non si lasciò mai travolgere dagli applausi delle platee di Broadway, né si fece abbagliare dai riflettori di Hollywood, ma rimase sempre fedele a se stessa. Moglie infelice, appassionata dei piccoli-grandi piaceri della vita (e amante di alcuni tra i più celebri interpreti della storia del cinema), ma anche mamma premurosa e professionista instancabile, alla fine degli anni '70, all'apice della career, he decided to retire from the show completely devoted to the family first, then volunteering, becoming an ambassador for Unicef. "

S. Hepburn Ferrer - Audrey Hepburn . elegant Soul - Ed TEA
"In this book, Sean Hepburn Ferrer takes us by the hand and gently into the inner world of Hollywood's most celebrated actress, telling the story of his mother's childhood spent in Holland was devastated by the war, at the height of His film career, until the days spent away from the camera and the paparazzi. One way to see Audrey certainly different from that revealed so far from the lens of photographers: through the eyes of a child who adored her. "

La Bambina filosofica di Vanna Vinci

If I was a child I devoured comic books, by great I did not change habits! And if my first heroine was the color of Grace Stefi Nidasio the famous "Corriere dei Piccoli", now my myth is that of philosophical Girls Vanna Vinci :-)

Certainly the comic has come a long way since then! Before the comics were especially dedicated to children and adolescents, now out in bookstores even the "Graphic Novel" dedicated to an older audience, but you know times are changing and the market adjusts accordingly. And lately publishing offers a variety of cartoonists from all over, but when it binds to an artist you do it with passion because we agree with everything the author says in its drafting and tables, but most of all you do because ... because we like his way of painting the world!

And I can openly confess: I'm lost again! After my huge passion for Stefi, I am madly in love with the designs of Vanna Vinci, an artist in my opinion genius that manages to be damn good at once, an expert at painting the expressions of his characters and being ironic and poignant at the right time, genuine and true in the irreverent jokes Girls philosophical, which really has managed to surpass themselves! :-)

"It 's so deep in me as a reader, it took a long time to save him to the surface." Karl Kraus
"It is the greatest disgrace to the culmination of the failure to homo sapiens."
EM Cioran
"A pretty crazy, with twenty-five thousand years of 'progress' in his post-Magdalenian hidden neurons." H
Erny Miller
"It 's interesting. Because in the end of the book everyone is wondering,' but how we really do '?"
Thomas Bernhard
"Glam! Sleaze! Rock! Roll! The whole shocking truth! All inside!"
New York Dolls

The Girls philosophical. Thoughts, words, deeds or omissions. Vol 2
"Harmful. Avoid excessive or improper use. Keep locked up and out of reach of children. Women of childbearing potential should be advised of the potential risk and take appropriate control measures. In women who are breastfeeding should be used only if clearly needed and under strict medical supervision. The indiscriminate use may result in the development of germs and alteration of sensitive bacteria that normally live in the intestines (colon flora.) Mild cases of colitis usually regress spontaneously, but if it does not seek medical advice immediately. May cause slight tingling sensation and di calore, questi effetti sono normali; se vi disturbassero ridurre momentaneamente o interrompere l'uso per qualche giorno, quindi riprendere il trattamento. In caso di sovradosaggio si possono manifestare stanchezza, disorientamento e sintomi extrapiramidali. In casi sporadici possono comparire crisi convulsive generalizzate.

In addition was for a long time since I bought comic books and now I like the idea of buying a collection of episodic strips wrapped in a beautiful edition, with nice graphics. Yes, I admit, I had literally conquered! Now shivering waiting for the release of the third volume ... but what we want?!? I am in trepidation! ;-)

E 'was the genesis of my first encounter with this great artist: I started to know Vanna Vinci comic books of philosophical Girls (the last in order of production), then go back to those published previously. Then it was time to "Sophia, the golden girl" and "Sophia tight in Paris," two other masterpieces! And these two books I loved it! This time there were more bands episodic, but had their own story that kept me glued to the books until the inevitable conclusion of both.

was so nice to get lost in those stories and those traits of black ink, that I finally decided that I would have bought all that Vinci had designed! It took infinite patience to find comics from all over Italy in what was already out of production for some time and I could not find even on Ebay! Dozens of emails to ask sellers if they had what I was looking for and many people told me that it was sold out. But perseverance has been rewarded! Sifting network in this way and that I could track down almost anything and are currently waiting for my latest purchase, unavailable until the end!

:-) I wonder how he did this in a designer to kidnap me so striking! Yet they are usually not so fanatical! Well, maybe his drawings have awakened something in me that had died long ago. It 'like I was sucked into its sweeping stories, all set in a city that seemed to have always belonged. Vanna had the power to make me dream with his characters and reading his comic books I do not notice time passing, I was so focused on reading the last page in a huff arrived and stayed in the hope incredulos to have suffered another to start a new adventure!

So recently I decided to write an email now and take advantage of my new post to tell you again:

- Thanks! Thanks Vanna, for making me laugh when I was sad, for letting me dream and keeping me in suspense with your fairy tales! Thank you for taking your life to the comic without knowing why you gave strong emotions in readers who are able to be carried away by your stories from your characters and their adventures! Your talent is unquestioned and I certainly hope one day to see you at work and the lives of these wonderful masterpieces. To I would be a great honor! Brava, brava, brava! - PS W

the philosophical girl in me! Hihihihihi ... ;-)
